Hope Music Group counts achievements, presents ambitious vision 2022

With little over five years into its existence, one of Africa’s towering and fastest growing record label and publishing company, Hope Music Group, HMG, which has over twenty signed artist, thirty million streams and at least one thousand songs on catalogue has presented what the management described as the label's ambitious yet realistic vision.

The vision which is expected to catapult the record label to a market leader in its domain by the year 2022 was presented to pressmen recently in Douala during an enlarged press confab assembling journalist of the broadcast as well as print media including a handful of entertainment bloggers.

Presenting the label founded since 2012, the Chief Executive Officer, CEO, of Hope Music Group, Philippe Nkouaya, said the label whose primary activities is centered in the production, promotion, distribution, synchronizing, booking and engaging of artist in national and international brand partnerships was created so as to revitalize and elevate African music to a global scene.

This, he added is now possible thanks to modern communications technologies such as streaming which presents a new market for artistic works. On some of their success stories, the young and vision driven CEO of the recording label stated that Dynastie Le Tigre, Fanicko, Featurist and Michael Kiessou among others internationally acclaimed artist is proff of their successes.
Explaining that just within two years (2015-2017) Dynastie Le Tigre had a total of ten awards, two albums, three million streams, three brand partnerships and one world tour amongst others, is sure proof of their determination and hard work.

Presenting their ever growing and responsive markets in France, USA, Germany, Ivory Coast, Canada, Belgium, Italy, UK, Switzerland, Spain, Morrocco, Senegal, Netherlands, Gabon, Benin, Russia, Sweden, Algeria and back in Cameroon, Philippe Nkouaya said upon recording an artist, Hope Music Group carries out the distribution, promotion, booking, brand and corporate partnership arrangements, registration and the follow-up of authors rights as well as their royalties.

With their “think local act global” scheme, facilitated with national and international partners such as Sony Music Entertainment, The ORCHAD, HENTHOLD, Tiger Production, Grey Matter corporation, Binam nation, Content Connect Africa amongst others, the CEO who was accompanied by some top executives of the label stated that come 2022, 32% of their revenue will be from digital marketing as opposed to 20% today.

To Winnie kandem, Marketing and partnership manager, not only do they assist their artist to rise to the international standings but equally engage them in profitable brand partnerships with top national and multi-national companies.
Pilling questions form pressmen, Jean Raoul Anyia, the catalogue manager announced that in just 2017 alone, the label had little over ten million streams with at least one thousand downloads. 

The catalogue manager told pressmen that they currently have over thirty songwriters signed under the Hope Music publishing company and thanks to their diverse initiatives and corporation which companies such as Yasha Music streaming service and Urban Buzz web radio, artist are exposed to a wide heterogeneous audience.
