After mile 29, another fatal accident killed two in Tiko

Barely a week after a spiritual exercise was carried out at the mile 29 hill in Muyuka where a ghastly car accident claimed the lives of over twenty choir members, denizens of Tiko woke up this morning to find streams of blood flowing in their gutters. The Tiko-Douala highway has killed again.

According to information from our sources in Tiko, a heavy duty carrier belonging to multi-billion brewery company, Source du Pays situated in Muyuka were the mile 29 accident occurred, had a head on coalition with a Carina-E vehicle around Daliko just meters from the Likomba roundabout.

Two people from the Carina-E are reported to have died one a spot, a man and a woman in their late twenties or so. Eye witness account holds that the said truck which was from delivering its companies products in Douala collided with the private vehicle that was just from descending the Likomba hill and whose driver was driving at a breakneck speed rushing towards Douala.

The two vehicles collided and due to the high nature of the truck and its stability on the ground, it crushed the Carina E and its occupants killing two at on the spot. Police form the Mutengene police college and other units are said to have rushed to the scene to collect first-hand information, control traffic and restore normalcy on the nation highway.

After perturbing traffic for hours the said truck is said to have been cleared from the road and taken to South West regional capital while the remains of the two occupants of the Toyota Carina-E who gave up the ghost immediately have been taken to the mortuary.
