6th edition of Cameroon Leadership Academy announced for September 19

After five successful editions, organisers of the Cameroon Leadership Academy, CLA, which annually brings together some one hundred youths from all ten regions of Cameroon, have announced that the sixth edition has been slated for September 19, 2017 at the Human Resource Development Center, in Ombe, South West Region.

According to a press release sent to our South West regional office, the opening ceremony of CLA 2017 will be presided over by the Minister of Youth and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou.

This years’ event, organised by the Pan African Leadership Foundation, PLF with assistance from Go Ahead Africa, it should be said, will equally see some sixty young graduates of the 2016 batch been awarded their end of course certificates.

With some one hundred and fifty young Cameroonians expected to receive free training at the academy, organizers of the even say their aim is to “form a new breed of young dynamic Cameroonian leaders who are masters of their destinies and committed to serving the emergence of our country and the continent at large.”

This years’ training symposium expected to hold under the theme “Leadership and Youth Entrepreneurship: opportunity for innovation in the digital transition context”, will run till September 23. Trainers and speakers are top managers from multi-billion companies, youth leaders, politicians and civil society leaders.
About the Cameroon Leadership Academy
Opened to youths aged between eighteen and thirty-five (18 and 35), the Cameroon Leadership Academy in an annual program focused on training and providing a platform for networking and exchange of experiences for one-hundred young leaders and entrepreneurs drawn from the ten regions of Cameroon.


The academy, it should be noted is a platform for capacity building of young leaders of Cameroonian nationality in order to accelerate Cameroons’ emergence. The first five editions were an initiative of Go Ahead Africa headed by Roland Kwemain but will this year be organised by the Pan-African Leadership and Entrepreneur Foundation.
